No, Pole Position Raceway provides state-of-the art 20hp karts for adults and 10hp karts for junior Racers. Our karts can approach speeds up to 45mph for adults and approach 20mph for kids.
The chassis is actually the same; the only difference is the power source. Pole Position Raceway uses electric go karts because they accelerate harder, smoother and offer more consistent performance than gas-powered engines. Electric indoor karting is also quieter, produces no fumes and keeps the track clean since the karts do not leak any gas or oil onto the surface.

Shoes: To race in the go karts each racer must be wearing closed-toed shoes. No flip-flops or sandals are allowed. (Rental shoes are available for a fee at the track.)
Clothing: All racers should come prepared to race in clothing similar to tight shorts, pants, jeans etc. No dresses, or skirts are permitted. No loose or baggy clothing is allowed. Long hair must be brought up and be contained in the helmet at all times. All hair, clothing and loose articles must be contained inside the kart at all times.

Absolutely, but it must be Snell/D.O.T-approved. If the sticker is gone, the helmet will not be allowed. All street helmets must include a face shield, and those who bring in motocross-style helmets must bring in their own goggles with Lexan lenses.
